McCain confidant critical to anti-wind fight?
May 16th, 2008 · 2 Comments
The NIMBYist fight against wind projects, most notably Cape Wind, has long been suspected of being funded from the coal industry. (After all, more wind electricity correlates to less burnt coal.) The Boston Globe reported today about how lobbying disclosure firms have linked Cape Wind opponents to a coal-energy firm.

The fast route to PHEV?
May 15th, 2008 · Comments Off on The fast route to PHEV?
Toyota (Prius) and Chevy (Volt) seem to be in a race as to who will provide the first mass-produced plug-in-hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) onto the market. The backfit market is building, with options coming to market for plug-in conversions for existing hybrids. But what about the 10s of millions of normal, internal combustion engines out […]

Newsweek editors: are you idiots?
May 14th, 2008 · 5 Comments
“Just wondering,” that’s all. Sort of like George Will’s “Questions for McCain” where Will is “just wondering,” of course, not necessarily showing that he is an imbecile when it comes to science. Peripatetic John McCain, the human pinball, continues to carom around the country as his rivals gnaw on each other. Although action, not reflection, […]

John McCain’s campaign is […]

That electricity, that contribution to the industrial economy has brought about some tremendous things. But, for the 21st century and beyond, coal is […]

Halfway McCain: See Problem, Not real Solution
May 12th, 2008 · 12 Comments
Today, presumptive Republican nominee John McCain will be giving a major speech on Global Warming.
