Shocklingly unreported by most of the nation’s media, easily 100 people collapsed outside Salt Lake City’s Gallivan Center. Exact numbers are hard to come by, but this tragic moment sends a signal of a much larger catastrophe that will kill millions and, without action, billions in the years to come. The bodies on the ground outside Gallivan Center should serve as a wake-up call to all of us.
Last Thursday, a flash mob struck during the Twilight Center concert to send a signal about Global Warming.
At 8:17 pm, the bodies hit the ground as the large banner “Climate Change Kills” unrolled from the top of a parking garage.
The banner sat on the edge of the railing, and we peered down below at the thousands of concertgoers moving like ants through Gallivan Plaza. It was dusk, and from the top of the parking garage we could see the Great Salt Lake ablaze with light from the setting sun. A perfect moment for some direct action.
There are many ways to educate, many ways to engage.
Flash mobs see their actions go viral via YouTube and can cost-effectively send messages to larger audiences.

The climate has been changing since the planet was formed.
So climate change is responsible for all the life on earth. You can thank climate change for every breath you take.
