We, as individuals, as a nation, as a globe, face massive challenges. In the Energy Smart world … Peak Oil … Peak Water … Global Warming … Efficient use of resources … and many other challenges. Related to all of these: science and technology. But, where are these in the debates moderated by journalists? Mentioned anywhere amid the questioning about New Year’s resolutions?
It is time for a change.
We are nearing the end of a Presidential Administration that has valued Sound Science over science, political ideology over reality. What will the next Administration’s approach be to science? What priorities will they place on science and technology? How will it seek to enhance and leverage science to help us (the US) cope with the challenges we face?
It is time to place these forefront in the national discussion.
