Hitler reacts to Obama

September 9th, 2009 · 1 Comment

We have, at this time, a tragic embrace of ignorance among too many in the United States. An embrace encouraged, fostered, cheered-on by too many entrenched interests. From the anti-science syndrome rejection of Scientific Theories of Evolution and Global Warming, ignorant rejecting of child-hood inoculations, to questioning of Obama’s birth in the United States to screaming about so-called “death panels”, we have a mass epidemic of cradle-to-grave craziness that is undermining the very functioning of our Democracy.

The latest screaming flap over Barack Obama’s address to America’s school students shows the escalation.

Study hard, think critically!

If they learn …, they will learn to question the propaganda and then where will we be?

[With all due respect, education is important.]

It undermines everything we do!

From here.

This has, of course, nothing to do with energy and everything to do with it. The ignorance being celebrated, embraced, promoted undermines our ability to move forward toward a more sensible energy system. Rather than energy to find solutions, too much time is spent dealing with deception and distortion … suggesting the need to education people so that they will “learn to question the propaganda” …

Alternative energy translates into sustainability anything that says it has to do with combating Global Warming is complete propoganda.

No legitame scientist rejects that carbon dioxide, a gas which makes up about .038% of our atmosphere is a green house gas.

The notion that Man is causing catastrophic temperature changes is unlikely according to most researchers and simple commmon sense.

Excuse me, BigL, this is rather confused and incorrect on multiple levels.

    1. CO2 has increased about 40% above pre-industrial levels. As you state, “no legitame scientist rejects that CO2” is a greenhouse gas.

    2. Alternative energy will help reduce GHG emissions (CO2 and otherwise), therefore it has much to do with combating Global Warming.

    3. “unlikely according to most researchers”? Which researchers, since this is at odds with IPCC, National Academy of Sciences, Royal Academy of Sciences, etc … As for “common sense”, your sense is evidently not common with mine or the vast majority of those who study these issues.
